Conditions of Use

Online Shopping:

We have taken great care in presenting the products on our website as accurately as possible. However, the images you see will depend on your monitor’s display and colour capabilities. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.

Before you place an order you should read the following:

Acceptance of your order, Delivery Information and Returns Policy. These pages form part of these terms and conditions and contain important information about your order. By submitting an order to us through our website, you represent and warrant that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct, and that when your order is accepted and processed by us, payment will be made in full.

If the Billing details for your order are the same as your Delivery address details, by placing an order on the website you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Delivery address details. Otherwise, by placing an order, you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing details.

Visitors under the age of 16 should not register with this website or submit any information to us.

Acceptance of your Order:

Shortly after you have placed an order with us by pressing the ‘Add to Basket’ an email will be sent to you acknowledging the exact details of your order.

This email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from www.michelekeffen.co.uk. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and www.michelekeffen.co.uk will take place when your order is dispatched, unless you have cancelled the order in accordance with the Order Cancellation instructions set out below.

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following: The product you ordered being out of stock – see Product Availability; Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment; The identification of a pricing or product description error; Failure to meet the eligibility to order criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions.

Order Cancellation:

If you wish to cancel your order please contact Mcihele Keffen CO UK’s Customer Services byusing our contact form and also return your acknowledgement email to us stating your intention to cancel the order.

It may not always be possible to stop an order from being dispatched, as we endeavour to process orders immediately. If your order has already been dispatched please return the order.

Please note that your right to return goods does not apply to certain products. Further details are set out in our Returns Policy.

Where your order is returned to us within 8 working days of your delivery, or you notify us in writing or by email of your wish to cancel your order within this period, the cost of your order and your original postage and packing charge will be reimbursed in full.

Please note that cancellations or alterations to orders marked as Wedding non-returnable goods must be made within 24 hours of ordering.

Payment Methods: We accept payment by American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Solo using either the Paypal or Google Checkout system. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit card payments via post or telephone. Please note that we do not accept cash or gift vouchers as payment online. Please do not be tempted to send cash via the postal system. It is understood that we will not be held responsible for any losses that may occur in connection with your attempting to use this method of payment.

Pricing Policy:All prices shown on the website are in £ Sterling and are inclusive of VAT, where applicable.

Prices may change and offers may be withdrawn at any time. VAT free prices, are quoted for deliveries outside the EU, where applicable.

Product Availability / Information / Liability:

We feature products on our website that have been carefully selected for Online Shopping. Once an item is sold out it will be taken off the website at the earliest opportunity and may not be available again.

It is understood that although we make every reasonable effort to ensure that the items supplied are the correct colour and or shade if matching is required, the company will not be held responsible for mistakes or variations in this regard. It is important to note that materials such as silk do vary in shading and texture from time to time as they are natural fibres. Occassionally with man-made fibres, colours will vary slightly due to batches of fabric being dyed separately.

Prices of products may change from time to time. If items that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process the remaining items on your order.

All items are subject to availability. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, it is necessary to substitute an item, the item will be of equal or greater value than that which it replaces. Substitutions will only be made with your prior consent.

It is understood that the company cannot be held responsible or liable for any problems or losses (apart from those covered by the customer’s statutory rights as a consumer) whether actual or perceived that may arise from the wearing, purchase or non-supply of the purchased item. The company will, however, make every reasonable effort to supply the items / items on time and in good condition.

The liability of the company will not exceed the initial invoice purchase price of the supplied goods.

Delivery Information:

We endeavour to dispatch most goods within 3-5 working days of receipt of a cleared payment unless a minimum order period has been specified, however on rare occasions it may be necessary to allow up to 28 days for delivery of products you have purchased on the www.www.michelekeffen.co.uk.co.uk website.

All orders will be delivered to a single UK address (includes: Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and the Scottish Isles).

Please note that individual items may be dispatched separately.

Returns Policy:

We hope that you will be totally satisfied with any purchase made with www.michelekeffen.co.uk.

You may return most new, unopened items (where seals are existing on packaging etc) within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

We will not accept returns of items that have had the swing tags removed where present. If the item / goods have had the swing tag removed then we will not accept the return of the item / goods. In the case of shoes, we will not accept returns if there is any sign of wear on the soles / heels of the shoes. This is due to the nature of wedding accessories, shoes and occasionwear being required for a single event. If the swing tag has been removed or there are signs that shoes have been worn for any length of time other than just being tried on for fitting purposes, it will be assumed that the item / goods has / have been worn to the event and a refund will be refused.

Except in relation to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods, where your statutory rights are unaffected, the following items may not be returned: personalised good / goods made to a customer’s specifications, pierced earrings, lingerie/ nightwear and hosiery.

The goods must be returned to us in the same condition as supplied to you. All original packing and labeling must be included with the returned item. Where your order is returned to us within 14 working days of your delivery, or you notify us in writing or by email of your wish to cancel your order within this period, your original postage and packing charge (but not your return postage costs) will also be reimbursed in full. This is with the exception of multiple items that have been ordered for comparison reasons. The items will be refunded with the exception of postage.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank or Paypal to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Returns Instructions By Post:

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the “Complete Orders” link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button.

Please package the merchandise to prevent damage, all items must be sealed in plastic before parcelling to avoid water damage in transit) enclosing the tear-off return slip that was in the original package having written the return number that you obtained from your account refund facility on our website. Please be sure to include your name, address and telephone number and send the merchandise using registered post or other secure and insured method of delivery, retaining the receipt until you have received credit for your return.

Please make sure that you ask for the goods to be insured up to the level of the original inclusive price as www.michelekeffen.co.uk will not be held responsible for any goods that are lost by your chosen postal service.

We’ll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we’ve received and processed the returned item.

Please note that the return costs are not pre-paid. Postage or other return costs will be the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

You must return the goods, together with their packaging, in the same condition as supplied to you.

Our warehouse address is specified on the form provided with your goods. If no return address is present in the box of the original delivered item then please return it to our main office address.

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. If any of these terms and conditions are invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these terms and conditions shall continue to have full force and effect.

For Amex card holders, customers must call their bank to notify them before ordering should the delivery address be different from their card billing address.

These conditions of use may be altered from time to time where we consider it reasonable and necessary to do so. The current conditions of use will be available in writing from our Christchurch address.

Personal Information / Privacy Policy:

Any correspondence which you may have with ourselves via our E-mail / form facility is considered as private information and is not knowingly passed on to any third parties.

It is understood that this is with the exception of information being used for ordering / enquiries relating to availability of an item on your behalf where we might pass it on to one of our suppliers (e.g. availablity of a garment or shoe size where your measurements are needed to ensure a good fit). We are careful to keep any such information to a minimum.

No information is knowingly passed to any third party for any other purpose than has already been specified without your approval (either verbal or written).

To enable us to monitor the effectiveness of our website we use a cookie on each page of our site issued by statistics software; this enables us to see how many people view our web pages and may sometimes prompt a security warning at the top of your browser, depending upon it’s type (please feel confident to allow this). It is not adware or spyware (we do not approve of either).
